PMC is chosen partner for The Stables

The Stables, one of the UK’s premier music venues located near Milton Keynes have recently added a further installation of wafer2™ on-wall loudspeakers for Stage 2., the intimate space housing both the Café bar and performance area to support emerging artists.

Jazz legends SirJohn Dankworth CBE and Dame Cleo Laine are life presidents of The Stables have a busy touring and recording schedule , but were able to meet and thank Keith Tonge from PMC following the installation of the speakers. The world renowned couple, who have been performing together for many years, are among the most acclaimed British jazz musicians with Cleo the only woman to be nominated for Grammy awards in Jazz, Popular and Classical categories.

The Stables, which has just been ranked 6th in a list of the UK’s top 100 music venues by the Performing Rights Society, chose the compact wafer™ speakers for its stylish new Stage 2 / café bar, where their sleek subtle, modern design complements the minimalist décor, belying their powerful sonic performance that engulfs the venue at all volume levels. In total, three pairs of wafer2™ speakers were installed, driven by six power efficient 130W digital power modules all fed by a fully balanced Bryston BP20 preamplifier.

This installation adds to The Stables compliment of PMC’s loudspeakers which includes TB2S-A active nearfield monitoring in the recording studio and a combination of the slimmer wafer1™ and the larger wafer2™ that feature throughout the large scale Mancini Foyer.
