The newly developed Thorens "TAS 1500" cartridge is a Japanese-made MC cartridge that was specially developed for the THORENS TD 1500 and TD 403 DD. With an output voltage of 0.4 millivolts at 5.5 cm / s, it delivers sufficient levels to harmonize with common phono preamplifiers. With an internal resistance of 12 ohms, it feels in good hands at a terminating resistor of> 100 ohms. At the end of a massive boron cantilever sits a fine diamond with a micro linear cut, which elicits every musical fineness of the record groove. The TAS 1500 is also a great replacement for older Thorens turntables like the TD160, TD147, TD320 and others.
