Born in Denmark, loudspeakers by Peak Consult have quite interesting names -- Dragon Legend, Typheous Momentum, Kepheus Momentum, Zoltan, Empress and Princess. The names themselves manifest a sense of the mythic world and nobleness.
This time I found in front of me the youngest noble of the brand -- the Princess X. She inherits the stature of the Empress and the Zoltan, with a Morel 1-inch silk dome tweeter and a 5-inch mid-bass driver by AudioTechnology, custom made specially for Peak Consult. The enclosure is made of 1-inch HDF board covered with solid rosewood panels of 1-inch thickness. Both the baffle and the back panel are covered with textured leather to absorb diffractions.
The Princess X retained her own manner of musical reproduction -- crispy clear imaging and subtlety, three-dimensional lines and a touch of elegance, clean and rich layering. Full frequency spectrum was exquisite, delicate, transparent, solid and rich.....
